Why I'm Running for U.S. Senate in Delaware as a Write-In

Delaware deserves a Senator who works for people, not corporations. Here's why I'm running as a declared write-in candidate — and why it matters for every Delawarean.

Why I'm Running for U.S. Senate in Delaware as a Write-In

Delaware is a small state. You can drive from Wilmington to Rehoboth Beach in under two hours. You can knock on doors in Seaford and be in Newark by dinner. And yet somehow, the people who represent us in Washington feel impossibly far away.

That's why I'm running.

The Problem With Politics as Usual

For too long, Delaware's political class has operated on a simple formula: raise money from corporations and wealthy donors, win elections, and then govern for those same donors. The cycle repeats. Working families get left behind.

I've watched this happen. I've seen Delawareans struggle to afford insulin while pharmaceutical companies post record profits. I've seen young families priced out of homes in communities their parents built. I've seen good manufacturing jobs disappear while politicians offer nothing but talking points.

I'm not running because I think I have all the answers. I'm running because the people of Delaware deserve someone in Washington who is actually accountable to them — not to a Super PAC, not to a party machine, not to corporate donors.

Why I'm Running as a Write-In

People ask me: why run as a write-in? Why not join one of the parties or collect petition signatures?

Here's my honest answer: both parties have failed Delaware's working families. Not in every way, and not every politician — but the system itself is broken. When your campaign is funded by the same industries you're supposed to regulate, you can't regulate them. It's that simple.

As a declared write-in candidate, I answer to one group of people: Delawareans. That's it. No party bosses. No donor class. No ideological litmus tests. Just the people of this state and the problems they need solved.

What I'm Fighting For

My platform is built around the issues I hear about at every door I knock:

Affordable healthcare. Too many Delawareans are one diagnosis away from financial ruin. Prescription drug prices are out of control. We need real solutions — not half-measures designed to protect pharmaceutical profits.

Good-paying jobs. Delaware's economy should work for everyone, not just those at the top. That means investing in clean energy jobs, supporting small businesses, and making sure workers have the power to negotiate fair wages.

Housing people can afford. From Wilmington to Lewes, housing costs have exploded. Young Delawareans can't afford to stay in the communities where they grew up. We need bold action on housing supply and affordability.

A democracy that works. Money has corrupted our politics. I support campaign finance reform, ranked-choice voting, and every measure that puts power back in the hands of voters.

The Path to the Ballot

Here's something most people don't know: Travis Jack Stevens is running as a declared write-in candidate for U.S. Senate. That means his name won't be printed on the ballot — but your vote counts just as much.

Delaware recognizes declared write-in candidates, and every vote cast for Travis is tracked and reported in the official results. It takes one extra step on Election Day, but it's a powerful act: choosing the candidate you actually believe in, not just the lesser of two options handed to you by the major parties.

If you believe Delaware deserves better, write in Travis Jack Stevens on November 3, 2026.

A Campaign Built on Trust

I'm not going to promise you things I can't deliver. I'm not going to tell you I'll fix everything in Washington single-handedly. What I will promise is this: I will always tell you the truth. I will always put Delaware families first. And I will never, ever take a dime from a Super PAC.

This campaign is yours as much as it is mine. Every dollar donated, every door knocked, every person you tell about this campaign — that's democracy in action.

Let's build something worth believing in.
